Ecological Economical initially grew out of necessity. In 2007, when we had our own eco store in Windsor, Ontario, we became increasingly frustrated at the high price of eco products packaged in small containers. We believed then, as we do now, that in order to truly make a difference in our communities, we have to get everyone involved in creating change. The high cost of eco products sometimes makes it difficult for people to do the right thing and switch their toxic products for the environmental alternative. Out of that quandry grew Ecological Economical.
Immediately we set out to develop a line of products that contained no synthetic fragrances, dyes, or abrasive surfactants such as SLS or ALS found in many conventional products. We noticed that packaging played a large role in high manufacturing costs, and we also questioned the morality behind excess packaging and small quantity containers. With that in mind, we decided to use only large quantity containers, believing less plastic and less packaging meant increased sustainability.
So here we are today, with both a growing product line and growing confidence that we are truly giving people an authentic environmental choice.
